***OT*** JGoren, "Monica-Russia. Surreal! It's extraordinary how foreigners misunderstand the United States". And how many Americans misunderstand We The People of the rest of the world. C'mon, those Russians have a sense of humour you know - humour rises in the midst of disaster and shambles which Russia has enough of to make them all ROFLTAO. They don't really think Monica can jerk Bill's nose-ring [note 1] and stop his attack on Iraq.

Oh well Valueman, looks as though Iraq's 3 million barrels a day will be stopping, so oil stopped going down! You better cancel that 10 litre engine with torque.

From last week's rant, another Winn-ing prediction. Don't miss out on the $80 one!

On oil: "...I'm not advocating that of course, just wondering where things might go and what the politically powerful might think and do.

Get ready for the USA to 'stabilize' oil prices and production. Don't expect sanctions on Iraq to be lifted any time soon. Expect Iran and other oil producers to get some heat from the USA/UN cartel monopoly/oligopoly."

Well, the politically powerful made their choice. It was Iraq that got the heat. But it won't be enough to hold oil prices. Something else will need attention. Big Oil is losing hundreds of billions while we enjoy oil priced as it should be. Lookout Libya!

As the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs said, there were lots of factors pointing to the day of the attack. Impeachment was only one, but I imagine that when Bill was deciding whether to go ahead with the military recommendations, he didn't have much trouble agreeing with the date since it coincided with a vote on initiation of impeachment.

All this won't affect Q! sales much, though it would be better to have oil flowing more freely and cheaply so that more money could go on cellphones instead of to oil producers and military people. Keeping Saddam tamed is better in the long run for cell phone sales though, so I won't do a 747 whine. You wouldn't hear me over the the thunderous roar of Jaguar fighters anyway.

Note 1. That's nose-ring as in what a bull wears for the owner to lead him around on a rope, not one of those body-piercing decorative little things some people wear. Assuming first that the article was written by a bona fide source which is doubtful.

Mea Culpa department:

PS: I was wrong! Ramsey or his ghost was watching and saw the shift into politics unrelated to Q! A "ZAP!" of lightning arrived in Private Mail telling me I was being watched. I guess Saddam feels a bit like that too. Ramsey even claimed he'd rather discuss golf, baseball or having wisdom teeth out.

Also, thanks bdog for the correction on "collective unconscious". Damn, I hate it when Tero is right and I'm wrong. Still, that's the way we find the holes in our heads so let's hope he and other Q! critics stick around.
