Vlad...Qtr 1 99 is a given....the question is why did the press release leave it open for a possible delay till qtr 2 99...

Maybe Nina is tired of getting a dozen phone calls every day over the Dec 31st partner date...

The more likely answer is that Vivus has no control over how fast or slow the individual countries operate...it may take longer than they would like and they are just being causious in their press release.

Vlad...I expect Astra and Vivus to move as quick as possible in Italy, Spain, France and Germany...the larger of the countries in Europe. Which the milestone payments are tied too.

Some of the others that fall under the United Europe structure may take longer to licence:

Austria
Belgium
Cyprus
Czech Republic
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
Greece
Hungary
Iceland
Ireland
Latvia
Louxembourg
Malta
Netherlands
Norway
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Slovakia
Turkey
and others....
