Well I've been stupid enough to hang on up till now so I'll probably just continue my stupidity. There is really nothing fundamentally wrong with this company. They make money. It's just that management is clueless as to how to get its message across and how to achieve share value. I keep hoping that somehow someone will convince them to act differently.

They never act boldly, like TDFX just did, they just react and hide their money under a mattress. They just buy cheap little companies that no one else wants like SEI and Ensoniq. They could have bought TDFX out this summer. Instead they just made their timid little "friendly" investment, hoping that would guarantee them continued access to their chips. Well guess again. It's clear they knew nothing of TDFX's plans. And to throw salt on the would, the TDFX CEO said they bought the "best" board maker with the "best" management. How's that for a slap in the face? Maybe this will be just the cold hard shock they need to wake up and get their act together. Then again, maybe not.

BTW, can anyone tell me what SEI does? What do they get from those guys? What the bleep have they ever done?

Dennis

Nothin' like a self-professed bottom-misser !
Luv ur candidness Gopher. Frankly, if you thought US$15 was near the bottom then perhaps it is. That is if the assessment that US$12 is worst case and US$14 the more likely bottom-bound. The issue is whether you want to be back on this wild-horse into Feb 98 when results get announced.
My view ? Definitely... given what the results should be (definite positive surprise) if the combined resources of the readers of this page are correct on the fundamental indicators.
So the answer may be to ignore the price action betwixt now and then right ? U only have urself to answer to.... unlike the unfortunate souls in the professional fund management industry.... 8-)
