The problem with the "viral growth" model: The problem is that as more people visit a site and "deposit" information, the higher the "noise to signal" ratio, or the more "junk to quality" ratio, and hence the more time consuming the search for quality is. I see this happening in ebay. Weekly the ratio of junk to quality rises. I, myself, am interested in art prints, litho, serigraphs, silkscreens. I search on "litho" or "lithograph".... and what junk.
