S Jobs' LISA , some unfair criticism considering its 1980's timeframe

Dvorak trashes LISA'a architecture but what about its contemporaries (competitors) ? Wasn't it aimed at IBM's (DataDog) Sys /23 ?

Jobs is blamed for odd ball diskette sizes but what industry drives matched IBM's PC diskettes (ours had dual 80KB drives) ?

Dvovak overlooks that IBM invested $100 million in Jobs NeXT start up along with Ross Perot's $50 mill - they saw something then and later so did Amelio !

Worth a historical read :

" The rise and fall of the Apple Lisa was a strange tale--one that coincided with numerous industry events and concluded with the ousting of Steve Jobs by John Sculley.

Oddly enough, Sculley was lured by Jobs to Apple with a showing of the Lisa prior to its public release in January of 1983."

IBM abandoned its S/23 and that mistake spawned NETWARE OS , along with the BASIC found on the PC's 8086 CPU

Hello INTC , NOVL , MSFT - Jobs was a visionary (1983) but a corporate (Pepsi) Sculley later used "FUD" to swing AAPL's board to can Jobs .
