To be fair, Amazon has had proven success at losing hundreds of millions of dollars in business operations, and has proven success at making millionaires out of inside shareholders. Jeff Bezos has personally pocketed more than 20 million dollars while his company has never made a profit, and the CFO has sold millions of dollars worth of Amazon.stock like clockwork each time her stock options vest. So to say Amazon is not a success depends on whether or not you've been working inside Amazon, Inc. headquarters- where Jeff Bezos has taken a vow of poverty and graciously forced his employees to work in large rooms with desks made out of wagon wheels and discarded doors. (yes, strange but true) Not much of a hardship if you're an insider, since you've likely been selling shares into the current 2 month rally.
