Richard - I can't help myself - an addict - this will be the last I promise - but Richard, the qualities you seek in a President would be more fitting for a priest - I was going to say a Pope - but the history of the Papacy precludes many of them as examples. It's a truism I think that only abnormal people spend their lives wanting to be President. Only a person of abnormal drives and ego would want this job - think back - most of them were pretty strange - right back to Nixon,, and then some before. (By the way how do you know Reagan never took off his jacket in the Oval Office? Seems I have seen a picture of him with aides, unjacketed - even your friend had a selective memory of events - and Ollie did his duty by lying under oath). So with most incumbents if you turn over enough stones you're going to find some strange things. The sooner they repeal this statute the better it'll be - or certainly amend it drastically. Most holders of high office are a mixture of saint and sinner - and this goes for captains of capitalism. They didn't get there by being the nice guys who finish last. E
