Zoltan I have no problem with Reagan or Sandra Day O'Connor or for that matter the Bushes. I was making a general statement, of course you know that. Tell me that Souter represents the best legal mind in the country... yeah sure. Anyway the republicans have only recently fell into the chasm of extremists. When Reagan was in office, and MAYBE the early days of Bush, the republicans were kind of like the party that my parents were a part of... reducing government etc (my parents hero was Goldwater). But, (and Im not quite sure when this happened, I think it MAY have been around 1994 when the Christian Coalition enabled the election of many republicans to the house? Just a guess) since the early or mid-90s the republicans have become a party of extreme Christian fanatics finally culminating in this disgusting smear campaign against the president. "Bad Conduct (as some Christian nutcase defines it) is cause for impeaching a president" - NO I DONT THINK SO - this is not the party of small government this is a party of religious zealots and if I were you Id be embarrassed to associate myself with this crowd of less than brilliant bible thumpers. I can assure you that my parents would never vote for THIS SET of republicans and you have lost the entire state of California.
