Good question..COMS..I would hang on until the latest possible moment. If COMS has anticipatory upswing the day it reports (assuming it reports after the close).. it will be good for another day. Then you can decide if you want to sell. AT this point COMS is in a strong upward trend and there is no indication it is overbought or 'deserving' of a sell. The stochastics are even OVERSOLD, adding to its appeal. A case where the reverse is true is JBL:

I was very bullish on JBL and it was an earnings play. My 'high goal' for it was 70. It hit 70 BEFORE earnings came out and I sold. The next day it had a good report but was downgraded losing about 3 points in the process.
