If Amazon quit paying for portal deals (ie, their main form of advertising) their traffic would cease to increase. I wonder how much of their business can be fairly attributable to click-throughs when they have a sizable fraction (64% last Q, and it'll be interesting to see this Q's #s) of their sales from repeat customers. What you say above isn't right, unless you replace 'traffic' with 'growth'. Even then, you may be les right than you think. Randy
