Your point is very valid from my point of view. MB's portfolio management fits right in here. I think it is fantastic, but believe that very few people that read him or ask him questions follow him in his strategies. People come around constantly asking for his puts, but don't realize that is a very small portion of his holdings. Give me the puts mb...

So it really depends, on a large portfolio like Rogers', what we are talking about. If his longs are of the more conservative ilk, he talks like some of his other holdings might be shorts. I don't know the actual details. So I guess the long/short debate that I was referring to in Rogers' position might be compared to MB's 10% of the 90/10 portfolio which in turn is only 50% of his holdings at present.

Isn't that striking. If you do the math, the outright speculative puts in that portfolio model are only 5% of the total. And everyone comes through here saying give me the puts. I'm interested in hearing more of the income plays myself.
