I use Etrade,
I share the same experiences when I call them, that's why I never call to execute trades, and please note that they charge you extra when you trade through a live representative.
However, I love Etrade when online - They charge you a maximum of 19.95 for nasdaq and $14.95 for New York trades no matter how many shares I buy/sell. Trades normally execute very well. I trade OTC:BB and penny stocks in high volumes using Etrade. I used to have Charles Schwab, they charge me a huge amount when I trade large quantities, they almost charged me about $700.00 to trade about 40,000 shares...
while ETrade would still charge only 19.95.
I strongly recommend Etrade only if you trade on-line

Yes I agree, I have been trying to speak with a supervisor for 2 weeks. I have trouble getting conformations on line.

Take a look at Brown & Co. or JB Oxferd.
