They can't load the rest of the world with a handicap because they backed the wrong horse" They're trying pretty hard to, aren't they? They are really faced with a simple and stark choice. "Compromise" or stick with TDMA. Is it utterly impossible that they'd all forgoe CDMA entirely. Remember Apple/MSFT, Beta/VHS? Hurrah Q! Dave
