judy, i made good money on its last tank so it does give me warm fuzzy feelings. ui had been waiting to put on a put position and... lucky i did... i may put it, but at the right price. anyway, i don't put much credibility in what companies say about their future b/c they don't know and they have an incentive to positively exaggerate - and they do.

I think MB is right. These guys got their bacon saved by the Fed -- read that as advance notice of a rate decrease -- pretty easy to make money like that. Rescues are for the very rich who play with other people's money.

Perhaps they can spread the benefit of it to two quarters, but I doubt it. Fed was too late for Bankers Trust ... definitely a long term sell.
