Quite pleasant to see ol s3 rolling higher. 10 year cross license agreement. Wow just six months ago I was beginning to doubt s3 would survive 2 years let alone 10. So what does s3 get? A little tiny piece of every merced (is that the right chip name? it seems like all of a sudden intel has a dozen different chip names...) that intel ships? Is this on the order of pennies or dollars per? Meanwhile intel gets a peek at how s3 goes about solving those pesky little graphical conundrums that has their engineers tearing out their hair.
