Funk, you weren't reading tim's post very carefully. There is an issue with ISLD to be aware of. It's possible to have a partial fill, and then have the remainder killed. It's happened to me at least once, and if that happens, you get to eat a second commission, because you need to generate a new order. I've had far more partial fills that did come in all the way though...

Ya had a nice day, Funk.......

Looks to be just around 6K gross profit....

But, even at the lowest commission rate of $18.95, and not counting both sides of two partial fills.....that's almost TWO GRAND in grease. In ONE day's trading......

Geez, I hope Ditlove sends you a Christmas card. hehehe

Still and all, it's four grand net ya didn't have yesterday..

Good on ya.....

I am curious if you use ISLD to get out/bail out of a fast moving stock. I get too many locked/cross errors that I get scared to trade these. With a quick changing offer,do you manage to get on the inside ask with ISLD and bail successfully?

Pierre

Funk, when you start trading some size, let me know. When you trade 100 lots of S&P 500 futures at $25,000 a point, let me know. I find it hard to believe you held 5000 shares of BAMM from 12:03 to 12:51? Looking at your trading style, that is really hard to believe. And then you used ARCA to buy all 5000 shares back? Come on, give me a break. I am not sure you are not Bull Sh*ting everyone? It is also hard to believe that with all your trading, you are not paying JPR Trading $10. a ticket, where you can get your beloved RealTick and still clear Southwest. Or calling up your hero Jerry Putnam and moving your account to Terra Nova where I am sure he will cut you a $10 rate if you trade as frequently as you do.

The fact is that I started Terra Nova wise guy. I found Townsend to program my invention SCANSHIFT where it ran on your beloved RealTick, and put Townsend together with Jerry Putnam. I introduced Borsellino to Putnam and Townsend. I came up with the idea for Chicago Trading and Arbitrage and the Archipelago ECN. The bottom line, is that if it was not for me, your beloved branch office of Terra Nova would not be there.

Island will be around forever, so I am glad that you are learning how valuable it is. ARCA, if my mission is successful, will be a bad dream for the traders who have been ripped off by it.

As far as the Archipelago/Terra Nova Trading ECN, look what a fellow SI poster with the name of Sword said below at the bottom of his post #2771 on the MB Trading thread:

***Notice that I never, ever let an order sit on TNTO. Why? Because ISLD orders would never execute against it. And ISLD has VOLUME.
