<<Wireless Local Loop
The world phone market will finally be effected by WLL technology, with over 100 million subscribers expected by year-end 2006.

As the world market for wireless local loop grows, so does the infrastructure market. ABI foresees 17,600 base stations in use for wireless local loop applications at the end of 1998, rising to 714,200 base stations by year-end 2006.

nearly 100 million projected WLL users by 2006. before that time arrives B-CDMA could be "hooked" to handle mobile as well as fixed. Total fixed and mobile users is expected to near 800 million by 2006. Alcatel, Siemens, and Samsung together control 25% of the world wireless market. Next generation technology B-CDMA is IDCs. We should "do the numbers" for $500 per line WLL with these projections.
