<<>>> I've probably met more tax cheats who are liberals than conservatives.

I don't think you get audited for being a liberal. But you admit to those tax-free or die notions like those militias up in Montana do, and you get audited a lot. It seems that people who wave the low tax flag a lot, also cheat a lot. According to the IRS.

Perhaps you'll remember the armed standoffs over this tax and property issues a few years ago. Not liberals. Liberals are all supposedly the willing dupes of the grinding tax system, remember?

Of course they can't audit anyone for politics anymore. Allegedly.

Well on the topic of tax cheats there are millions of republican as well as democrat tax cheats... come on. There are probably more democrat cheats that commit program fraud etc. But that pales in comparison to the number of wealthy conservatives with offshore assets which are legal only in some respects. My guess is, dollar for dollar the conservatives cheat the IRS out of far more than the liberals do, if you believe the old characterization that more business people are republicans (that used to be quite true but is changing - rapidly - as a result of the agenda of the current GOP)
