Let me start by saying that I'm not simply being greedy....But I still have to say that I was very upset at how CMGI traded today! I am a trader by profession and I watched CMGI very closely today. It powered through every resistance level and at around 12:50 it hit it's high of 102. From then on till the close it continued to come down, showing absolutely no relative strength to the market which closed at its high of the day. CMGI couldn't even close above it's all time closing high of 91 3/4!!

I realize that the stock was up over 10 points today which is terrific but the weakness it showed is still a little upsetting. I believed and continue to believe that CMGI will rise to new highs before it splits on the 11th of Jan. but I wouldn't leave this stock unattended!! Keep a close eye on it and your trigger finger ready.

PS I remain long the stock as I have been since the high 50's on 9/23. I've dealt with the dips and its good to feel the jumps. This is one of my only long term plays and I'm glad I've held on for the vomit inducing ride! :)

Good Luck All,
Jon

Historical pricing around the split announcement and actual split date is interesting. This is a request for anyone desiring to comment. I am looking at the historical pricing of CMGI over the past 360 days. When did they announce the split last spring? It appears that the shares rarely closed over 100 from the split announcement, assuming it was on April 21, to the split itself. Actually, it looks like the price softened to 83 shortly (no pun intended) after the announcement, if it occured on the 21st. The shares did not regain, on a consistent basis, the highs around the announcement until late June, about the 19th. I know that historical performance is no guarantee of the future, this is a different market than last April to June, etc. All comments or predictions of how these shares will trade is welcome.
