i think perhaps it's rising public awareness of what the company does and how linked it is to the web, even though it doesn't have a trendy name like "netapp.com" unlike amazon and yahoo, netapp has no reason to make itself known among regular users, and fortunately for us, the management is above hyping its own stock. look at the early stock price of cisco and you will see some good parallels.
