>>How can you say that this area is toast just after one pipe has been tested into detail...?<< Steve, I am in full accordance with you!! :) You mis-read Griz' post earlier!! Let me re-post it for you to re-interpret: "Alberta Diamonds will be the TOAST of the diamond play. Lots of drilling by 3 majors, many JR's drilling this Winter. later griz " - I was agreeing with Griz that Alberta will, imo, prove up a producing diamond mine and will be THE toast of the mining community (he was playing on words)! I also agree with you that overburden will be a factor when it comes to mining. But there are near-surface deposits that will be economic. These targets will be those first pursued of course, simple economics (e.g., ACA's K-14). Lots going on in the province. Stay tuned to the players. I believe Ashton has intentionally been throwing cold water on this play in the interest of competition, and I think in the years to come this will prove out. It is Ashton and parent co's aim, imo, to downplay the ADP with their limited, ambiguous, and often obscure public reporting. Can't blame them in the long run-- they want the motherlode! Others will argue differently. Anyway you look at it, Ashton has blazed a highly respectable trail in Alberta! This is so early in the exploration cycle for the area. Much more to come out and to be learned. ------- FrankF. -- GREAT to see you post again! K-11 mini-bulk results are on the horizon (though it looks like it'll be next year before we hear?). -Have a great Holiday Season yourself, along with everyone else!
