Here's a bizarre thought for you. Sadaam Hussein is probably the reason our gasoline prices are so low. Since the other OPEC nations don't want to do anything to make Uncle Sam angry, they have not gotten together in a coordinated effort to charge actual market prices for their oil..or to do any kind restricted export effort..like they did in the 70's. If you don't remember the sky-high gas prices and the long lines at the pump..you probably aren't 30 yet. Trust me, it was bad. Anyway, we take out Sadaam...the Saudis et al put on the great new millenium oil squeeze..and all these gas guzzling American auto/tank SUV's are suddenly going to seem rather..odd, and expensive.
