Hi Ausdauer - My guess is that the RBOC's are not hungry enough. They are sitting on their quasi monopoly charging their small business clients big time for ISDN service. They have no real incentive to "quickly" build out new systems.

Here comes SPRINT with incentive to deliver to the end-user cost effective xDSL services. Before the RBOC's realize it, their cash cow business customers will be in bed with Sprint. It is hard to get back these customers.

It appears to me that the RBOC's will be the last one to the party before they realize just how far behind the curve they really are. When the dust settels, it is a net positive for AFC as long as they can maintain they technology lead and deliver their products on time.
