And this is how the Republicans will get hoisted by their own petard in the weeks and months to come!

People living in glass houses... well, you know the rest! :-)

>>WASHINGTON (Dec. 17) - Incoming House speaker Bob Livingston told House Republicans Thursday night that he has ''on occasion strayed from my marriage.'' A spokesman said he has no plans to resign.

Members of the Republican rank-and-file emerged grim-faced from a closed-door caucus. One lawmaker said Livingston had received a round of applause from members. Livingston spokesman Mark Corallo said, ''There has been no talk of resignation. The Republican Conference is solidly behind'' the Louisiana Republican.<<

Ain't it sweet? Talk of resignation? How silly. That is only for the President. Members of the House applauded him. LOL. They should give Clinton a standing ovation!!

>>''When I did an early interview with the media after announcing my candidacy for speaker, I told a reporter that I was running for speaker, not sainthood. There was a reason for those words,'' his statement said.<<

Interesting that he did not elaborate when he was running for office. I wonder why he didn't reveal the affairs BEFORE he ran????

>>''Because of the tremendous trust and responsibility my colleagues have placed in me and because of forces outside of this institution seeking to influence the upcoming events and/or media coverage of these events, I have decided to inform my colleagues and my constituents that during my 33-year marriage to my wife, Bonnie, I have on occasion strayed from my marriage and doing so nearly cost me my marriage and family.''<<

Gee, how nice of him to come clean after his election to Speaker. Only because forces beyond his control compelled him to so so. Livingston should be IMPEACHED. He deceived the House! LOL. Gingrich looks like Mr. Clean by comparison. I think the Speaker's moral authority is approaching ZERO!

What a scumbag hypocrite the new Speaker of the House of Representatives is!!!

I meant political hypocrisy, like all the dems.
