Millionaire.Com shares jump after Web site opening
HILTON HEAD, S.C., Dec 17 (Reuters) - Shares of Millionaire.Com (OTC BB:MLRE - news) jumped more than 33 percent Thursday after the launch of its electronic commerce and auction Web site.

Shares of Millionaire.com rose as much as $1.50 to $6 before settling at $5.50 late Thursday afternoon in trading on the Nasdaq bulletin board.

The site, which is in final development and will be active around Jan. 15, 1999, will sell luxury items including antiques, yachts, premium cigars, and gems.

''In the manner that Geocities (Nasdaq:GCTY - news) and The Globe.com (Nasdaq:TGLO - news) built online communities for their particular audience, Millionaire.Com's portal will become the premier destination web site...,'' it said.
