Linux and EAI products do not compete in any fashion.

Yes, Linux has been getting growing attention as an operating system.

Some think of Linux as a Unix variant, or close to being such.

LVEL's EAI products are currently built on top on Microsoft's NT operating system technology.

However underneath EAI products is message oriented middleware (MOM).

LVEL's MOM product runs across Unix operating systems, and surely it could be easily tweaked to run on top of Linux.

Microsoft needs LVEL as a partner in order to extend its MOM model (in the form on MSMQ) to run on top on Unix operating systems. In line with that partnership, LVEL will be releasing in early 1999 (last I heard) its MOM product running on Unix and supporting the MSMQ application programming interfaces.

SO, IMHO, LVEL is positioned to roll with what customers buy into.

Hope this is all not too confusing.

Here's a site that features some of the web middleware applications.

idm.internet.com

The aquisitition of Weblogic by BEAS offers an interesting
play on that company. It's been killed by the market, any opinions out there on BEAS? Seems like a good value, will growth return to BEAS?

HDIE has performed outstandingly of late.
