When did he lie? He never claimed to be a saint-as he said to reporters early on. No one gives a s* if Clinton or anyone else fools around. If this is the standard we are now asking of our leaders then we'd probably be able to keep about 10% of the gov't. You'd have a legit beef with Livingston if he was deposed under oath and asked if he had any affairs, but he wasn't, thus he did not lie to a grand jury and commit perjury. The only reason Clinton had to be asked about screwing around was because the Supreme Court ruled that Paula Jones' civil case could go forward while Clinton was in office. His sexual history w/other women was ruled to be of material importance in determining whether or not he had/has a history of this kind of behavior. Note: Remember this was one of the 'breakthroughs' of the feminist movement-delving into one's past/present sexual proclivities in sexual harassment cases. For the millionth time this is not about sex!** This is about a crime committed in investigating a case that happened to have sex as one of the elements. Once the lie took place the 'sex' then became the evidence to prove the crime of perjury and the attempts to cover it up. Why is this so f***ing hard to understand!!! This bastard lied before a grand jury and has tried every trick in the book, including intimidation, to get away with it, thus depriving Paula Jones' right, since the left is so hot on 'rights', to have her day in court. People are in jail NOW for having done the same thing, even when the case was dismissed! Livingston has done no such thing! This is a classic smear job by the Dems and is disgusting. halfscot
