Suharto killed about a million Indonesian civilians in the 1965 coup that brought him to power. But since they were all "communists' our government had no problem with that. We will support genocide as long as the "right "people are getting slaughtered. And we had no problem with Saddam killing hundreds of thousands of Iranians and others when he was on our side. But as soon as he stopped taking orders he was instantly transformed into another Hitler. BTW, I well remember the official line during thr Vietnam War. "If we don't beat them in Vietnam the dominoes will fall one after the other." History shows that the American public (or any public) will believe almost any government lie if it is repeated often enough. Hitler was absolutely right about that.
