I was just thinking what if CREAF bought Nvidia and made a large bid for tdfx?

Also cut the SBL cost buy half ran AUREAL and dimd out of BIZ in one clean cut... after the dust we hold all the cards : )

Thought crossed my mind earlier, but then it went away as quickly as CREAF sold it's shares in 3Dfx.....

They could have pulled it off too, since 3Dfx/STBI could have bought
Nvidia, and then Creative just needed to up their shares and
swallow the poison pill. But no, this company knee jerks and sells
their shares: they just don't get it. I'm disgusted with this
company too and going to tax loss out half my holdings. Will hold remainder through earnings. If they disappoint, I am out of here.

This company hasn't even got it together enough to issue a decent
response to the current situation!

Even if Creative finally decides they have no choice but buy Nvidia,
does anybody really think that will work? Not likely, IMO.

I don't think that CREAF wants to be in the graphics chip business and I really don't think they should be either, to tell you the truth. If they buy out a designer, they are basically stuck with what they produce. If they miss a design cycle or come up with a poor chip, they are screwed, like SIII and TDDDF did to themselves.

I would much rather see them buy out Aureal and grab the sound business now. They could sell both cards at the same margin levels and let the market decide which they wanted. Perhaps they both have their place. But they could be making money on both. And they would have Aureal's people inside their organization working for them. They have Aureal between a rock and a hard place right now with the patent suit. I say work the best deal they can and get it done. I think the Aureal people would go along at a reasonable price because they would be getting a piece of the pie too.
