Marty,

As a "Card carrying guy" (CCI MusicCard, that is), count me in on the TSIG brainstorming group. Excellent idea as usual.

Let's all make it happen..........Norms

Marty,

I agree...the people on this thread have come up with
very good ideas. It would be ashame if the management
of TSIG could not hear them. I am sure that the company
has their hands full right now. I would not rule out the
rumor about a deal with sony music. The father of a friend
of mine was working for a division of CBS I believe as a
chemist and worked on the material for records and cds.
I recall him saying that sony bought them out and if I am
not mistaken, they may have taken over Columbia House, a
major cd/tape/record club. I am also certain that they
actually manufacture the tapes and cd's under licsence
from the record companies. an aliance with sony music
is not only "probable" but would make perfect sense.
It would be too costly for TSIG to manufacture the CD's
and the music clubs, I beleieve, are already set up to
do this. I do not believe that my friends dad would know
of such a deal because that would not be his department.
well got to get some breakfast!!!!

my best,

Michael

Great idea Marty ! - allows for the creative flow of ideas in an organized, productive manner for TSIG itself and its' shareholders.

When and how do you propose to have this "informal shareholders' brainstorming" meeting ?

Regards,

Phil

Marty,
I have more ideas than the time needed to write them down, but here is a start. I will try not to repeat the good ideas that have been posted in the past. First, a couple of questions.

Question 1: What is the policy of TSIG regarding the distribution of MusicCards? (Maybe Dixie can answer this question.) Does the company plan on giving away the cards for free to build a client base? That way, TSIG would get CD orders and card reloads, but just will not get revenue from the initial MusicCard purchase. Or, does TSIG want to partner with organization who will pay a small fee to distribute the cards, since there is a real benefit TO THE DISTRIBUTOR to pass out the cards.

Question 2: The MusicCardTM I received is plastic. Is there a reason not to use "heavy" weight paper instead? If the cards are going to be distributed for free (see "Question 1") then paper makes much more sense. Paper is cheaper, and thinner (important for shipping - You can fit probably 5 times more paper cards in a box than plastic cards).

Distribution target 1: Gas stations. Does anyone remember the pre-paid telephone cards distributed by Mobil (and probably by other gas stations)? The PAPER cards had 5 free minutes on them and were given to anyone who purchased more than 8 gallons of premium gas (or whatever). How about a 3 or 5 unit Mobil MusicCardTM? Since there is a benefit to Mobil for distributing the card, so how about a small fee from Mobil for the right to distribute them?

Distribution target 2: Large retailers (Wal-Mart, Sams Club, Meijer, etc.). How about giving away a 5 unit Wal-Mart MusicCardTM for free at checkout with purchases of 10 dollars of more?

Distribution target 3: Skateboard or snowboard manufactuers/retailers. I assume purchasers of this equipment will be young people, who buy a lot of CDs. How about a program with a major manufacturer to provide MusicCards packaged with the snowboard, for example. If not that, then maybe buying the manufacture's database of clients and sending out mass mailings with free "sample" 3 unit MusciCards? How about MusicCards free with a $10 or more purchase from Dick's Sporting Goods, or other retailers of snowboards, skateboards, etc.

Distribution target 4: Free MusicCard distribution deals with on-line retailers of "teenager" products (e.g., on-line snowboard sales companies). This way you target computer users, plus you get the right age group.

That is all for now.

Good luck!

-Dave

I think it is a great idea. Would you like to set up some type of automated e-mail forum to do this?

Marty,

First, thanks for your many contributions to this thread. I know you've heard this sentiment before, but I felt compelled to let you know that there are probably lots of other "lurkers" -- like me -- who also value your insight. For a penny stock, TSIG seems to have an abnormal number of rational and informed investors, several of whom are regular participants here on SI. Thanks to all, especially to my esteemed pal, Chief, who led me here. (Chief, I know you're still out there somewhere!!). :o)

I like your idea of an informal brainstorming session and would be delighted to participate, if my schedule will permit. I noticed that Rich requested discretion in the nature of public posts and he's right on the money. Following that theme, I suggest that the actual details of the brainstorm (time, place, etc.) be handled via either PM's or email's and not be publicly disclosed. I once participated in an internet conference which turned into a sham because some of the "bad guys" were there and simply destroyed the meeting. There were even imposters, bad guys who logged on under a pseudonym and purported to be some of the known good guys. You can imagine the result if someone logged on as "Marty" or "Rich" or "MskiHntr", when they were actually working agin' us, not fer us. I advise caution.

I'll be headed to my home state of Maryland for the holidays, so blessings of the season to all. You're a good bunch!

Best Regards,
Hardrocker
