Lands' End Selects IDT's E-Commerce Solution

BusinessWire, Friday, December 18, 1998 at 09:03

HACKENSACK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 1998--

Leading Mail Order and E-commerce Vendor to Boost Customer
Convenience Through Click2talk, Net2Phone's Seamless Web-to-Phone
Calling Product

IDT Corporation (NASDAQ:IDTC) announced today that it has signed
an agreement with Lands' End to integrate IDT's Click2Talk application
into its web site, whereby users will be able to speak through their
computers to sales representatives on the telephone via the Internet.
Click2Talk offers web users a live phone connection without the
inconvenience of having to log off the Internet, while offering
businesses the opportunity to enhance client relations by adding the
element of human voice to customer interaction.
When international customers access www.landsend.com's order form
for purchases, the Click2Talk icon appears right on the site. The
customer clicks on the icon and the call is seamlessly routed over the
Internet from the consumer's PC to a live representative at Lands'
End, enabling the customer the opportunity to ask questions about
specific products or policies. Because calls are routed over the
Internet until they reach the U.S., international customers can reach
toll-free numbers that are inaccessible through traditional long
distance phone service.
"Lands' End has always been committed to complete customer
satisfaction, and by adding Click2Talk to our web site, we connect our
friendly phone operations with customers through the electronic
realm," said Ron Frey, Internet Business Manager of Lands' End.
"Retailers around the world have been taking advantage of the
benefits of Click2Talk, and we are thrilled that Lands' End has
started offering our unique solution as an additional way to enhance
their shoppers' experience online," said Jordan Katz, Director of
Click2Talk.
Click2Talk works in conjunction with Net2Phone, IDT's Internet
telephony division, which has already routed over 80 million minutes
of IP telephony phone calls. More information about Click2Talk is
available at www.click2talk.com, where users can test out the
application, or by calling 888-872-1230.
IDT is a leading emerging multinational carrier that combines its
position as an international telecommunications operator, its
experience as an Internet service provider and its leading position in
Internet telephony to provide a broad range of telecommunications
services to its wholesale and retail customers worldwide. The company
provides its customers with integrated and competitively priced
international and domestic long distance, pre-paid calling cards,
