Lots of people lie, and ANYONE caught deserves to be punished...You might note that the Livingston and Hyde owned up to what they did and they weren't even in court

I suppose you don't think impending tabloid/exploitation press exposure had anything to do with their being such honest men?

X, now tell the truth. You don't really care whether Billy-bob lied about sex with Monica, you just don't like him and you want him gone, no matter the reason Right? Come on, tell the truth.

(BTW, men who beat their wives should always be punished regardless of whether they lie about it or not).

They owned up because they knew others know.

Livingstone and Hyde only "owned up" because of impending news releases.
The fact that the Republicans gave Livingston a standing ovation for his "courage" in "coming clean" makes me sick.
The whole lot of them are beginning to make me sick. The rallying cry of a few years ago of "throw the bums out" rings very true for me today. There must be some honorable politicians ala Mark Hatfield in Congress today but they are not apparent to me. Maybe they all deserve the heave ho.
