Its beginning to feel like the kids are leaving home and we're in for a period of "empty nest" syndrome. I had read about the "undervalued" nature of the affiliates, and recall a figure being used in one of Newbridges reports, unless I'm mistaken. I don't think any estimates have any credibility. An affiliate is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. So, Vienna Systems is worth $135M. This time Lutz says the money is to be used to invest in product development. With Cambrian he said the money was to be used in the affiliate program. Maybe the money isn't viewed as one big war chest?
