I just exported the S&P500 stocks. A separate (single) file is created. As I use WoW, these were in v3 output, which WoW reads directly. The file is a duplication of data disk (CD) as I read from that, I didn't download data, using 35x CD-rom does just fine. I'm sure MetaStock would be same as when updating, it looked for MetaStock files first then v3.

After updating (intraday) the exported file (501) all got updated. Scanned and it all works just fine. I like it.

Smart Export (according to the help file) will maintain data with splits, symbol changes and data corrections.

MetaStock format export is still limited to 255 symbols. Smart export also works with TC ver. 3 format, which of course doesn't have that limit. Nice feature for WOW users.

One other new feature in this update is the ability to import a watchlist from other formats.
