Xybernaut(R) Bundles linkAssist Pro(TM) in New MA IV(TM) Wearable Computer
FAIRFAX, Va., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Xybernaut Corporation (Nasdaq: XYBR - news), the leader in wearable computing, today announced that an agreement has been completed with Multicosm Ltd., a leading provider of dynamic hypermedia and enterprise knowledge management solutions, under which Xybernaut has selected and licensed Multicosm's award-winning dynamic hypermedia product, Microcosm Pro™. As one of its new standard application authoring tools, Xybernaut will initially offer the product under the name linkAssist Pro, bundled with its recently introduced Mobile Assistant® IV (MA IV™) series of wearable computers. Now integrated with IBM's ViaVoice™ voice-activation product, linkAssist Pro enables users to create applications that link together and manage large collections of documents. The resulting applications allow users to navigate through thousands of documents by using voice commands to activate hyperlinks.
Under the licensing arrangement, Xybernaut has committed to purchase 25,000 copies of Multicosm's software in the first year.
