Qcom also will have an upgrade for GSM to CDMA2000, so what advantage does WCDMA have? That is besides European Fasicst protectionist Governments. Tero in all the posts you have never been able to show a diffinitive difference between CDMA and WCDMA. That was except for chip rate and compatibility. Please explain how the RF airinterface of WCDMA differs form CDMA2000? You dont know because if you did you would understand that WCDMA is a stolen, photocopied system. Its always terrible to be the last one to find someones been lying to you!

"If it's going to be the upgrade for GSM operators..."

Obviously Tero, that's what the debate is all about. If it is W-CDMA, in it's present form, with no roylaties to Q, and no backwards compatiblity to IS-95, of course ERICY, NOKA, et al will benefit. That is a colossal "if".

Your refusal to clash with the IPR position of the two companies, the recent cave by ERICY, and the poorer relative performance of W-CDMA, undercut your claims severely.
