George, The rule of law is so fundamental, so foundational, so profoundly integrated into the fabric of this country that even your most distorted view of reality has a chance to be voiced and heard.

Thank God for that, and for the Founding Fathers courageous insight to establish such a "more perfect Union".

You are right we are confounding our enemies with the supremely democratic ideal that no man, no person is above the law, the President included. This is a truism in this country and speaks to the incredible strength of this country and in this manner this country alone stands at the pinnacle of civilization a beacon of decency and integrity for the oppressed.

What you promulgate is anathema to the principles of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. The rule of law is no joke, not even the most partisan opponent of this impeachment process would agree with you. It has been won through incredible sacrifice time and time again by the heroic actions of our military members. Your attempt to trivialize it is so ludicrous as to be laughable, if it were not so serious a matter. Without this sacred rule this country and all civilization would be reduced to the struggle of power by force and corruption. I pray to God this never comes about.

Another monarchist - pre Runnymede at that.

They know that those in power shouldn't be held accountable for all their actions. It is more important to enhance ones' leaders power by overlooking meaningless principals, than to call them into account for some small infraction of the law.
