Andrew Johnson was a Democrat who shed his Democrat clothing upon accepting the National Union Party (aka the Republican Party) nomination for Vice-President. Hmm, I guess using your logic then we can say that Democrat President Ronald Reagan was attacked by Radical Democrats during the 80's. I mean after all, Ronnie was a Democrat at one time.
