Gee Charles, how much time did you spend in the military or were you just one of those enlightened brave journalists who preferred to fight the war with your pen and your mouth. I may not have joined when the war was being fought but I at least joined.

Excuse me Edward R. , but only a complete imbecile would attribute the end of our involvement in Vietnam to the year 1972. Our military was involved in Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand and Laos, as a result of Vietnam, up until 1975. Do the math before you continue with your ill-informed blather. The conflict and people in our military were still in harms way even up until 1977. I am surprised that such an adept expert in military matters didn't know this.
