Devoid is as devoid does, and I still don't know what you're talking about. But I haven't done one of these reconstruction things in a while, so what the heck.

Where I picked this up, old friend jbe had come in with the editorial aside:

<<You're stupidity is so monumental...>>

That would be your stupidity.

To which I appended the passing remark:

jbe, in this case, addressing BOB CHURCHILL, I think it's correct to say "You're stupidity", as in, You are stupidity, BOB. Or to use the newly affected vernacular of the Rev. Pilch, You be stupid, BOB.

To which BOB responds with the witty rejoinder:

10,000 words later and this is all you come up with.... pathetic.

And I reply, having no idea what 10k words BOB is talking about:

But BOB, I've confessed before that I am but a humble amateur in the insult pissing match around here. To repeat, I have no illusions about being able to compete with the firehose unit squad around here, in either size or volume. You seem to do pretty well on both counts.

And then Dan B. butts in in

Yes, Bob obviously calls names as much as his opponents. But here I think he meant maybe you'd have something substantive to say for a change. So DO you believe Dipy's statement is correct. DID "misdemeanor" have a definition meaning less than high crimes at the time the Constitution was written?

I don't know what statement of Dipy's you were referring to, he certainly didn't show up in the 4 messages up the chain I went, and I didn't feel like going further and learning more about BOB's stupidity, whoever it belonged to originally. So what's your problem? Sheesh, this goes back to Tuesday.

As for the President fabricating lies and being left off the hook, the case has been settled, you know? Perjury in inadmissible evidence in a dismissed civil case, later settled out of court. Now how often does that get prosecuted? In other instances where it happens and doesn't get prosecuted, is our Constitution mysteriously corroded? Aside from the fact that the perjury is still an allegation, not a proven crime, and it is not certain that a conviction could be obtained. Yes, the testimony was disingenuous at best. But there are certain legal technicalities involved, and I don't trust the bleating character crowd to interpret them correctly. You either. But once again, your concern for truth and justice is touching.
