During that period Abekas was internationally recognized for its innovative products and ability to develop and deliver targeted products very rapidly. William T. Ludwig, Vice President of Sales, joins Accom from Pinnacle Systems where he was Vice President of Sales for Americas/Far East. Previously Mr. Ludwig was Sales Director with FAST Electronics and held several sales positions at Abekas Video Systems over an 11 year span, including Sales Director for the Americas/Pacific.

Donald K. McCauley is Accom's new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. McCauley was a founder and CFO of ImMIX, the Grass Valley-based non-linear editing systems manufacturer subsequently purchased by Scitex. "I am extremely pleased to have Phil, Bill and Don join the Accom management team," said Sheikh. "I believe with the addition of such talented, experienced, and respected individuals, Accom now has one of the strongest management teams in our industry.

"Phil Bennett and I worked together for a long time, including co-founding Abekas Video Systems, and I am thrilled that we are joining forces again. Bill Ludwig and I also worked together at Abekas, and I am delighted to be working with him again. I developed a great deal of respect for Don McCauley while working with him through the due diligence process of acquiring Scitex Digital Video, and I am looking forward to working with him.

"I believe that with the acquisition of Scitex Digital Video and the strengthening of the management team, Accom is well positioned to grow profitably and take a leadership role in the television industry."

hahah...
i almost forgot, since it was surreal information
so early in the morning....but:

Accom takes its name from Occam's Razor.
however,
they reversed the vowels ( pronounce it 'Ay- kom )
and added the accent " because it looked good..."
