Man, somebody couldn't sell FLC fast enough today. Heavy dumping. Oils heavy dumping today, all over. Neatly all finished at their lows of the day. I picked up FGI,WFT,VRC this week and all 3 are under water about 10%. If this isn't REAL close to the bottom, the world economy is in serious trouble. IMO Middle East peace and $10 oil is not compatable.

The semiequip. makers such as AMAT all were up over 10% today and were rejoicing because their book-to-bill's were 84%, as in $84 of new orders for every $100 of orders sold. Read: slowing business - and they freakin' exploded upward today. This conservative investing that
I did this week in the beaten up oil patch is killin' me. Still can't help but feel that in 6 months OSX is 75+. My broker is heavy into oil service the last 3 months and also preaches stick 'em away and wait til Asia recovers. Good luck to all, as I called 'em dead wrong all week. War in the middle east and people can't sell oil service fast enough. Impeachment hearings and NASDAQ can't go up fast enough.
SHEEESH!

Mark

Reuters-3.38pm- possibility of Chavez altering existing exploration contracts with fgn oil firms. Apparently, the potential next energy minister has challenged the contracts in the past and the matter has been before the court for 3 years without a decision (8 reasons for challenge).

, 'cause someone just unloaded 500,000 shares of FLC at 8 within a minute.

True, but there was also considerable size on the buy side. I saw 100K bids pop up frequently.
