CTC,
You shouldn't have ANY problems. Windows 98 will install IE$ Explorer, but will NOR remove your Netscape. You just won't uses IE4.
I've installed windows 98 first BETA and than final release in 2 desktops .

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
Be sure to keep a copy of your exixting windows. It will ask you if you want to and save it on your H/D. If you have problems, you can remove 98 and your orginal programs will still be there.

I LOVE Windows 98

Dorine

Chuzz ****OT*****

I don't know if there are any gotchas as part of the install process (there should not be), but Netscape can coexist with Internet Explorer. I installed a machine for a friend recently that came preloaded with WIN98. They decided on Earthlink as their internet provider, and the CDROM for their service included Netscape Communicator. It installed just fine and both browsers can be used on the system. If you do use Explorer, WIN98 will ask you if you want to make it the default browser (it's Microsoft of course!!!), but you can just say no to the question. Good luck

John

Chuzz....
EI 4.0+ and Netscape, live nicely together.. You should be able to use whichever is your preference and/or both.

I allow IE to be defined as the default, however I use Netscape all the time as my preferred. This is because I also use the Windows Media player for CNBC broadcasting (which is not supported using Netscape).

Hope this isn't too confusing! You really shouldn't have any problems with the most current releases of either/both browsers.
