INSP To answer some email and pm's, here is the summary description of InfoSpace: About InfoSpace.com, Inc. (http://www.infospace.com) InfoSpace.com is a leading aggregator and integrator of content services for syndication to a broad network of affiliates, including existing and emerging Internet portals, destination sites and suppliers of PCs, as well as other Internet access devices, such as cellular phones, pagers, screen phones, television set-top boxes, online kiosks and personal digital assistants. The Company focuses on content with broad appeal, such as yellow pages and white pages, maps, classified advertisements, real-time stock quotes, information on local businesses and events, weather forecasts, and horoscopes. By aggregating content from multiple sources and integrating it with related content to increase its usefulness, Infospace.com serves as a single source of value-added content. The Company's Internet affiliates include AOL (NYSE:AOL),Netscape (NASDAQ:NSCP), Lycos (NASDAQ:LCOS), go2net Inc.'s MetaCrawler (NASDAQ:GNET), Dow Jones (The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition) (NYSE:DJ),CBS's affiliated TV stations (NYSE:CBS), Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC), Oracle(NASDAQ:ORCL), AT&T (NYSE:T), and ABC LocalNet. end And, yes, I am bullish on INSP as a position hold through probably the end of the year. Monday's action should provide several opportunities to buy on dips assuming there isn't a sector wide tanking or some other unforeseen bad news. I rarely do IPO's, but when Sue Slaine brought this one to my attention, along with several folks, I did some research. INSP has a better business case for profit, continuity and growth than the more narrowly used-CD, free-website and auction-type houses. Although places like ONSL and UBID, MALL, etc. are getting a lot of attention, and I admit to profiting from ONSL, it will take them a substantially longer time to crystallize their operation into something with a reasonable (sustainable and directed) business model. INSP has started out that way, or at least introduced the IPO as well managed and strategically minded company. Now all of this won't make beans if the stock tanks. But in the spirit of maintaining a continuity to this thread about why to pick a company, I thought I wouild offer my logic for the position hold. lastshadow Have a great weekend.
