5 excellent threads on SI for Market Trend Analysis and TA analysis..For comprehensive analysis of questions like what sector is hot.. watch the Bloomberg news at 5:00 a.m. and start CNBC at about 6:30 a.m... Also there are some terrific threads on SI that don't just bandy about same stocks day and and day out, but offer refreshing insights in market trends and 'read' general market indicators.

These are MDA..Market Direction Analysis and Trading in and Out for Profits, and 56 Point; TA charts with an attitude, Technical Analysis for Shorts & Longs... Tech stock Options is also worth a visit..

These threads can be prerequisites to our thread. Market Gems can't be everything to everyone and we don't offer Market Trend Analysis, but if you read these threads before 9:30 a.m. you will have a good idea of what's "up"... Some of the other stock selection threads are fine as well... but they don't often discuss new stocks BEFORE they have already made significant gains and are being chased for possible scalping. I am not against this but it is good for seasoned daytraders that can 'get aboard' the uptrending stock. For more amateur and intermediate traders you should be reading the general threads and 'paper trade' some of our stocks if you are not subscribers until you are comfortable with their price patterns.

An exception is the new site of Tim Luke..just picks no handholding, Z-Place for Stocks has been around a while and has some good analysis by the sight organizers Zimmerman and McKinnon who have a good knowledge of the tech sector and what's moving. As for other sites, I haven't seen that much that is relevant and 'new' for short term traders... I am sure their are more but because of restrictions on my time I haven't been able to spot them.

2 new additions to newsletter..beginning my research I see that some sectors will have more than 1 prospect to beat the street, in some cases 3 or 4. In other cases I find stocks that are not well-known or followed (but they are NOT BB stocks or junk stocks) they have fine charts, might have lowish volume and have little broker following and most of all excellent 3 digit estimates for gains this quarter and next. I am thinking of posting a separate section (like I do for the low priced stocks in the watch lists) for these slightly higher risk, but otherwise excellent prospects for earning plays.

The first group which are 3-4 from the same sector it will be posted randomly according to sector and not date they report.. but the date will be listed... For example I did a research on the internet advertising companies, LAMR, CMGI, POS, CKSG about 3 weeks ago and since then LAMR, CKSG and CMGI have exploded... I would do the same for 4 stocks in say the 'storage sector' and use 'balance sheet, cash flow, Income and estimated earnings velocity' for my criteria.. and of course technical rank. I did this in newsletters last summer..
