More ICOR news just came out, on Comtex:
ISOCOR (Nasdaq: ICOR)

News December 20, 10:43 Eastern Time

DEC 20, 1998, M2 Communications - London - ISOCOR, a leading Internet messaging and directory software developer, today announced that as part of County Durham Education Authority's four year programme to connect schools and local education authorities to the Community Grid for learning, Derwentside District Council has purchased ISOCOR's high performance, N-PLEXTM Global messaging server software to fulfill its Internet messaging requirements.

This initiative forms part of Government plans to set up a National Grid for Learning across the UK using the various networks available such as the World Wide Web. One of the first projects of its type, it will soon be launched by the PRIME MINISTER, TONY BLAIR. The aim is to provide a focus and agenda for harnessing new technologies to raise educational standards. The plans challenge the Information Technology (IT) industry to put forward proposals of how Community Grids within the National Grid will be deployed to ensure the implementation of Information Communication Technology (ICT) objectives and the equal delivery of key services to schools. Leading IT companies driving the web revolution have pooled together their resources to formulate a strategy and development plan, enabling any Local Education Authority to become the centre of their own Community Grid.
