Barry Sorry its taken me so long to respond to you. RV means revoked and does not necessarily mean "not in good standing". I find nothing at that site which says anything except status is RV. I thought that the page was pretty self explanatory, but here are the complete instructions on how to get corporate information on a Nevada company. 1. Go to the URL sos.state.nv.us 2. In the box in the middle of the page, type in the company name. I used "GIC Global Intertainment". 3. Hit the button labelled "Submit". 4. You will get a page of all companies that match the search text. In this case, there is only one company listed. 5. Select the company that you want information on by clicking on the appropriate box in the column entitled "Select". 6. Press the button labelled "View Selection". 7. You will be taken to a page which contains the company's corporate information. The information will look something like this, but will be in tabular form: Type: Corporation File Number: 4825-1997 State: NEVADA Incorporated On: March 07, 1997 Status: Revoked Corp Type: Regular This corporation is not in good standing. Resident Agent: MICHAEL J. MORRISON (Accepted) Address: 1025 RIDGEVIEW DRIVE SUITE 400 RENO NV 89509 President: MR JAMES KA LEUNG CHU Address: SUITE 1500-885 W GEORGIA ST VANCOUVER BC V6C3E Secretary: MR JAMES KA LEUNG CHU Address: SUITE 1500-885 W GEORGIA ST VANCOUVER BC V6C3E Treasurer: MR JAMES KA LEUNG CHU Address: SUITE 1500-885 W GEORGIA ST VANCOUVER BC V6C3E You can use this technique to check out any company that's incorporated in Nevada. And could it be true that they didn't want or need a liscense there and allowed it to be revoked, although it seems a liscense in Nevada couldn't hurt their legitimacy... There has been some talk about this being a license that they applied several months ago (https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=6891428 ). While they may have applied for such a license, I don't think that the State of Nevada database that I linked to has anything to do with that. The main search page [http://sos.state.nv.us/default.asp ] says Secretary of State Corporation Database - it contains the registration information for all companies incorporated in the state of Nevada. Also, note that according to the page the registration was filed in March of 1997 - not a few months ago. Someone else said that this is old information, yet I know that the status of the company was "DQ" (delinquent) when I checked it on 15-Dec-1998 and on 17-Dec-1998 it was listed as "RV" (revoked) - so at least the "Status" field has been updated within the past two days. Besides, the main search page sos.state.nv.us clearly states in big red letters Data valid as of December 16, 1998 so I don't see how this can be reasonably characterized as out-of-date. I also read on Yahoo where some have hypothesized that GGNC has allowed its registration to lapse intentionally and they are incorporated somewhere else. I don't think that this is the case, GGNC says on its own web page: Global Intertainment Corporation (GIC) is a high technology entertainment and marketing company, incorporated in the state of Nevada. ggncwins.com Maybe GGNC should redirect some of their effort from creating press releases into getting their Nevada filings up-to-date.
