Impeachment news:

The House passed 2 articles out of 4, so 2 less to wipe
out in the Senate. Hopefully the Senate will wrap this
up in a couple of weeks since they know they don't have
the votes, and Clinton will not resign as states below.

I've watched Clinton way to long, and there's absolutely
no way he will resign. Repubs are dreaming if they think
he will.

The whole thing is 100% politics - wheeling and dealing.

WASHINGTON
(AllPolitics,
December 19) --
President Bill
Clinton, flanked by
dozens of House
Democrats, vowed
Saturday to fill out
his remaining time
in office and
appealed for "a reasonable, bipartisan and
proportionate response" when the U.S. Senate
takes up his perjury and obstruction of justice
case next year.

Gephardt doesn't like Clinton one bit, but here's what
he says:

Gephardt said what happened in the House was "a partisan vote
that was a disgrace to our country and our Constitution."

btw...Gephardt will probably try to run for Prez against Gore
for the Demo. nomination.
