Peter: The distributors are already providing plenty of commentary about slow-moving product. The majority of the retailers put up the "super sale" signs early this year. Price pressure is ubiquitous. Sales guys and gals are not excited about this Christmas' bonus. But it is the inventories that are the big problem and that will become this winter's story. Incidentally, note that in the U.S. Q3 GDP numbers (up just over 4% (y-o-y): - once again, 30% of it was a build for inventory ...yuk. - computers represented 50% of the year-over-year increase....again yuk, particularly given the saturated market.
