A simple question, just to be sure. Could please give me the correct exact definition of modified adjusted gross income, i.e. from which line on one's form 1040 does this number come?

Colin
I thought for tax purposes Citizen and a NON citizen who has been
in the country for over 180 days in the current year were the same.
I have been filling up 1040 and not 1040NR since I been in
the country over 180 days each year for past 4/5 yrs.
So does it really matter if I am a citizen or not because IRS requires me to do 1040 which is same as the US citizens do.

Thanks
Rav
